Though his role as Dick Croner in Caroline Thompson's Buddy (the tale of an eccentric socialite who raises a gorilla as her son) was widely panned, Alan Cumming did learn a few things about his hairy co-stars. "I got curious," he later recalled, "what it'd be like to French kiss a chimp."
