The famed publisher Richard Simon (the Simon in "Simon and Schuster") once decided to include six free Band-Aids with each copy of the new children's book Dr. Dan the Bandage Man. Simon cabled a friend at Johnson and Johnson: "Please ship half million Band-Aids immediately." "Band-Aids on the way," the friend replied. "What the hell happened to you?"
