In 2003, Ben Affleck reportedly threatened to sue the National Enquirer over allegations that he had cheated on his then-fiance Jennifer Lopez after spending a night in a Vancouver strip club and heading back to Christian Slater's home with a bevy of eager exotic dancers. Far from backing down, the tabloid's editors claimed to have put their sources through lie detector tests (carried out by an independent polygrapher) and challenged Affleck to do the same. No lawsuit was ever filed...
