After spending two months as a shop assistant at New York's flagship Vuitton store, Benoit Vuitton (great-great-great-grandson of Louis Vuitton) briefly worked as the accessories manager at the company's SoHo boutique, where he was expected to spend half of each day selling on the floor.
"One woman came in looking for a refund on a fake handbag, and I told her it would not be possible," Benoit once recalled. "She got so angry and demanded to see the manager, which, of course, is me. Then she wanted to see my business card. The more she looked at it and realized who I was, the angrier she got, because she could not make any trouble with this shop assistant. It was hilarious. Being rich does not give you the right to be rude or make trouble for people who are just trying to do their job."
