Robert Benchley once bumped into John O'Hara (known to many as the "master of the fancied slight") while dining with his daughter-in-law Marjorie at New York's famous restaurant "21."
"John," Marjorie remarked, "we've just been seeing Pal Joey again, and, do you know, I like it even better than I did the first time." "What was the matter with it," O'Hara replied, "the first time?"
