In Female Trouble, famed transvestite Divine played a male character named Earl in addition to Dawn, the female lead. In one scene, Dawn was raped by Earl.
One day several years later, Divine was heckled while performing at a disco nightclub. "Go f--- yourself!" his hecklers hollered. Replied Divine: "I've already done that!"
