Courtney Thorne-Smith got her first taste of acting in a production of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" staged by her non-competitive grade school. The school was so non-competitive that scores were not kept when sports were played. "And we couldn't have try-outs," she recalled, "because someone wouldn't get [the role], so everyone got to play whatever they wanted." As a result, Thorne-Smith played the part of Dopey -- along with half a dozen of her classmates!
