Fish Called Wanda

Following his Oscar-winning performance as the goldfish-gobbling Otto "Don't call me Stupid!" West in 1988's A Fish Called Wanda, Kevin Kline was honored at a special ceremony at Harvard University.
While Kline was delighted to accept the Hasty Pudding Club's "Man of the Year" award, he was less delighted when the school's undergraduates tried to feed him a goldfish!

[Though his father was Jewish, Kline was sent to a strict boys school run by Benedictine monks in St. Louis; Kline quickly discovered acting.]

[In 2003, a study by James Rose, a professor of zoology and physiology at the University of Wyoming, concluded that fish brains are not sufficiently developed to allow them to sense pain or fear. Previous studies had confused "nociception" (responding to threatening stimuli) with feeling pain. (Reviews of Fisheries Science)]
