Because Woody Allen refused to stay overnight at Mia Farrow's apartment, she spent much of her time in Woody's bed. Unfortunately, this arrangement proved to be a source of considerable friction.
Eventually, Farrow made a request which so perturbed Allen that he discussed it several times with his psychiatrist before finally consenting. The request? That he use cotton, rather than polyester, bedsheets.
