"[Grateful Dead frontman] Jerry Garcla doesn't exactly conjure thoughts of fast breaks, but the Round Mound of Jam-Band Sound and his cohorts helped out when their Bay Area basketball buddy Sarunas Marciulionis needed cash to get the Lithuanian national team to the 1992 Summer Olympics. Lithuania went on to snag the bronze medal. In honor of its sponsors, the team went to the medal ceremony in tie-dyed jerseys."
