In November, 2002, a group of noisy PETA anti-fur protesters crashed a New York fashion show carrying signs reading "Gisele: Fur Scum."
Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen was not pleased. "I'm the biggest animal lover in the world," she later told the press. "I was just doing my job. I'm a model. I don't even wear fur. They just want attention."
Perhaps. Or perhaps they just wanted to draw attention... to Bundchen's recent endorsement of BlackGama fur coats.
["Gisele's a Brazilian bloodsucker," PETA later declared, "all legs and no heart."]
[Bundchen (who Elite's John Casablancas famously called "a monster of selfishness") once walked off the stage at a Helmut Lang fashion show because she had been asked to model only one outfit. Her verdict? "I don't have time for this shit."]
