Small Problem




During the production of Casablanca (1942), Michael Curtiz was on such a shoestring budget that he could not afford to use a real airplane during the classic film's final scene. Instead, Curtiz had a small cardboard cutout placed in the background and, to give the illusion of a full-sized craft, surrounded by a midget flight crew!
