One evening the bon vivant (and famously squinty-eyed) raconteur Gilbert Gottfried met Jackie Onassis at a fancy party but found that they didn't have much in common. In an effort to make small talk, Gottfried later claimed, he unthinkingly asked a fairly common question: "Where were you when Kennedy was shot?"
