Wisconsin's gubernatorial vetoes




In 2007, Wisconsin lawmakers began trying to eliminate the state's so-called Frankenstein veto, which allowed the governor to stitch together unrelated words and numbers to create laws and spending levels never intended by the legislature. 17 years earlier, the state's voters abolished the "Vanna White veto" which allowed the governor to cross out letters in words to form new words.
