Katie Holmes, the youngest of five children, was once asked whether she had been neglected by her parents as a result. "Yeah, well sometimes," she replied. "They have a lot of kids. Sometimes they forget how many people came with them. Like one time my sister came back from college and my mom was like, 'Kate, we're going to Andersons' -- a grocery store -- 'why don't you come?' So we're, like, going and I loved Barbies when I was little and I'd always go to the Barbie aisle and I was like, 'It's been a long time, like an hour.' I was like, 'Good they have the new hot dog stand,' and my mom came back with a guilty look on her face and was like, 'Hi, Kate.' And I was like, 'You forgot about me didn't you?' And she was like, 'No.' ... She didn't even remember until someone asked where I was. She didn't even remember in the car!"
